Over the long Memorial Day weekend I joined some friends in Sequoia National Park for some camping. A wonderfully relaxing trip which resulted in (among other things) a partially dislocated elbow, the realization that I do not want to die by sliding down a mountain face and into a waterfall, some fantastic pictures, and some wonderful relaxation. There were 240 photos from the camping trip and I suspect that only about 10% of those will make it to DA and since it takes me so damn long to get through the post process before posting submissions I imagine that I will be working through those for the next couple of weeks.

Today I dug up one of probably only half a dozen old photos that I plan to post here. I'll get to the others eventually, but I find the process of reviewing photos and then cleaning them up in Photoshop to be rather tiring. I am also starving and my mind is consumed with thoughts of food. I have also found a certain joy in having photo assignments. THe Moment in Time project was lots of fun and the next project looks to be more of a challenge. I am going to try to put a submission together for the SoFoBoMo (Solo Photo Book Month). It feels a little intimidating at the moment and I am honestly not sure if I will be able to pull it off. I mean

The "Moment in Time" gallery went up on Tuesday. It took some time but I found my shot in there and I found it fascinating to see all of the other shots showing the world during that little window of time. See? I found my submission hiding amongst the masses. I really hope that I get to take part in something like this again in the near future.
